Combat rules
Before a fight can begin both sides must activate their respective IS.
All units will start off with Full shield energy.
Whoever deployed first gets to make the first move
They then select a weapon to use, writing how they use it and about their reactions to everything that is around them.
Then they will calculate their odds of hitting. E.G. "Starling A" fires it's "beam rifle" at "Starling B".
The starling has no accuracy modifier so the beam rifles accuracy is 100 and "Starling B's" evasion is 30.
100-30=70 meaning His attack only has a 70% chance of hitting so he would then click on the dice icon selecting the attack dice and depending on the result gives you your answer.

Re: Combat rules
Because of the result of 14 the attack misses. due to the accuracy being 70% "Starling A" needed a result greater than 31 to hit "Starling B" So starling b will then post on how it dodges the attack and then the counter attack. Starling B uses its beam rifle same accuracy as before.

Re: Combat rules
So Starling A just got hit So it loses 50 shield energy unfortunately most weapons will consume shield energy.
so at the moment.
Starling A: EN: 225/300
Starling A used the Beam rifle which has a cost of 25 so it used 25 shield energy and it also lost 50 shield energy when it got shot at by Starling B
Starling B: EN: 275/300
Starling B evaded the attack that was directed at it but it used its beam rifle so it paid the cost of 25 shield energy.

Final notes about Basic combat:
Most weapons use your shield energy keep in mind how much energy you have left.
Secondly your Pilots rank will give increases to your accuracy and evasion modifiers.
E-rank pilots grant no bonus
D-rank pilots grant a 10% bonus
C-rank pilots grant a 20% bonus
B-rank pilots grant a 35% bonus
A-rank pilots grant a 50% bonus
S-rank pilots grant a 75% bonus
Note each rank will be further explained in Advanced Combat Rules.
